Ibanez to Phillies

The Phillies are adding left handed powerful free agent Raul Ibanez. According to ESPN.com and FOXSports.com, the Phillies agreed to a three year contract for $30 million to get the former Mariners player. Though a spokesman for the Phillies told MLB.com that no contracts have been signed and nothing is finalized, the 36 year old left fielder will eliminate any other presence for another leftie, like Burrell, another free agent.

Ibanez has played with the Mariners for the last five seasons and caught the eye of Phillies manager Pat Glillick. With a batting average of .293, 23 home runs, 110 RBIs and a .358 on base percentage the switch was looking good this year.

The World Series champions are looking forward to a great year with the new left hander and much more, so head on over to StubHub.com and get your Phillies tickets now to see Ibanez and others play!
