Sports Illustrated Ranks the Best MLB Ballparks

Because this is blog loves news about Major League Baseball tickets, we were instantly impressed that SportsIllustrated.com put together such a ticket-related article. Well, it’s more like a ranking list. The list was compiled from a massive survey of fans who have ranked the baseball stadiums that they’ve attended. So although it might not be scientific, per se, it still is worth taking a look at.

I hope this doesn’t ruin the surprise for you fans, but the top team ballpark was the Indians’ Progressive Field. Although Progressive Field did not receive a No. 1 mark in any category, they were the best park overall. Some of the rankings are a bit odd, though. For instance, the Detroit Tigers ranked No. 1 in the Team Quality category, which was higher than both the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. Perhaps Detroit fans were happier with their team, despite the factual win-loss records of the two clubs recently. Well, in the end, ballpark quality is relative.
