Torre to Los Angeles Dodgers?

Will Joe Torre end up as the manager of the Los Angels Dodgers next season? Will A-Rod follow or lead Torre to Los Angeles? These are two of the biggest questions facing the Dodgers as the off-season begins. Right now A-Rod has a few teams that are probably more near the top of the list of potential suitors than the Dodgers. But for Torre, getting a job as the Dodgers’ skipper is very likely, given the recent departure of Grady Little. With Little resigning from his post just the other day, several reports have surfaced that link Torre to the Dodgers.

In fact, several sources have reported that the Dodgers have agreed in principle, but have to work out the particulars. The Dodgers’ general manager, Ned Colletti, has made some rather gossipy statements about Torre and the Los Angeles organization. He stated that the Dogers and Torre shared a “mutual interest” in one another. He also has reportedly said that they are “in the early stages of getting to know each other.” Sounds like this relationship could get hot and heavy soon. If Torre is going to the Dodgers, it just might improve their chances of getting A-Rod or another star player to come there, which is good news for Dodgers fans.
