Ten Players Who Could Affect the World Series Lineup in 2007

As the Hot Stove League burns along, several writers are beginning to take a look at the 2007 season in terms of player impact now that a large chunk of player movement has been completed.  CNNSI’s Tom Verducci has thrown his analytical hat into the ring as he looks at 10 players who could make “the jump” next season and thereby increase their teams’ chances of earning a spot in the Fall Classic.

Verducci starts with the obvious by looking at the obvious with new Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, whom he claims will be a younger version of David Cone.  Obviously, if this pans out, it’ll bode well for the Red Sox.  The analysis continues with less-famous players and signings, but what it comes down to is that no one knows for sure who’s going to have these types of impacts and who isn’t.

That’s what makes the Hot Stove League fun.  It should also have you thinking about where to go for World Series tickets, but that’s an easy question to answer - StubHub.com.
